Transportation

Most UCSB students get around by bicycle. Tropicana Del Norte is adjacent to campus, a 5-minute ride to the beach, and close to the student community of Isla Vista, home to many restaurants and small shops.

For shopping and entertainment farther afield, or for Santa Barbara Airport transportation, the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District offers convenient bus service to shopping centers to the west, to downtown Santa Barbara, and from the local airport.

Ride the Pacific Starliner from the Goleta Amtrak station, a short 10 minute drive from Tropicana Del Norte.

The Santa Barbara Airbus makes 16 trips daily between its Goleta location and the LAX airport, while Roadrunner Shuttle offers door-to-door service to Santa Barbara, LAX and Burbank airports.
