When Can I Move In?

Move-in for SBCC students begins at 9 am on Sunday, August 27, 2023 for Fall Semester .

Trop Early Move-in Program and Orientation (TEMPO)

Trop Early Move-In Program and Orientation (TEMPO) starts Tuesday August 22, 2023 for SBCC students. TEMPO is an orientation program that covers important topics concerning incoming freshmen, including healthy eating, dealing with relationships, touring the campus, picking up their books, finding their classes, field trips around the city and getting to know 50+ other new Trop students. 

TEMPO registration will open on May 1, 2023. To register, once your contract is confirmed complete, sign in to your MyTropAccount and click the TEMPO link on the home page.

Can I move in early?

Residents can move in up to two days early for a $200 nightly fee.  Please email tropicanaleasing@greystar.com for more information.

What to Bring

Besides your clothes and books, things that you should bring are bed-pad, sheets (extra long twin), blankets, pillows, pillowcases, bedspread, bath towels, toilet paper, alarm clock, computer, beach towel, bicycle, bike lock, non-halogen study lamp, and toiletries. You may also want to bring a TV for your bedroom and laundry soap. All rooms have blinds on the windows.

Where Can I buy Stuff?

Located on Storke Road, Camino Real Marketplace is your best bet for all basic shopping needs. The shopping center includes Home Depot, Staples, Costco, Home Goods, Best Buy and Ross. You can find this marketplace by going west on El Colegio and turning right onto Storke Road; it will be located a few blocks down on your left-hand side.  Target is located on the corner of Storke Road and Hollister Road.
